You've seen the squeeing OMGDOLL post, now have an official introduction post with actual pictures and babble about the new guy. His name is Sade (yes, I kept his old name. I like it too much to change it.), and he's an aspiring rockstar who hasn't quite got his new boots and contract yet. He may look a tiny bit familiar (but, you know, only if you've ever seen a certain bleached blond rockstar ever) because I had wayyy too much fun with his faceup and, well, everything else. He's got some work done that I haven't bothered with for the other boys, mostly because he's the only one I've felt really needed it. I've spent a bunch of time on his stuff, and I'll be spending a bit more time finishing certain things after the last of my supplies arrive.

So....say hello, Sade!

Sade: 'Lo there.

So, obviously you can see that I made a lot of jewelery. I spent, oh, two days or so on all of that. I actually still have to finish those black cuffs on his wrists, plus a few others that he's not wearing there. (There are a total of ten, which will be divided between single, double and triple row.) He has four bracelets, three belts, a pile of necklaces, and the studded gloves. I also made a couple of rings, both of which have fallen part and need to be repaired. T.T Due to who he's stealing his fashion sense from, he needed loads and loads of jewelery.

I managed to find a few perfect things for him from various places. He's got amazing faded blue jeans, biker boots and aviators from Blue Blood Doll and the wig is from DDE. The belts he's wearing are all from my stash of doll stuff, some of which I'd forgotten I'd had. The silver studded one I did all the work on. (It took probably 45 minutes originally. Then I had to strip all the studs off and remake it with a longer belt. X.X) For the second, all I did was hang the bone cross from an eyelet. For the third, I cut the belt in half (it was too wide) and made a belt buckle out of a pin I had.

The rosary was probably the second most time consuming piece of jewelery. I had to restart it three times, then remake it once I finally had it finished, as it wasn't long enough. Having to tie all those knots didn't help, either.

Jewelery isn't the only thing I've been making, though. Inspired by a couple of mini guitar stores, I decided that since Sade will be using the crew's guitar, it (finally) needed a strap and a case. The results of that are:

The case is made from a shoe box and some foamcore with a bit of ribbon to help hinge the lid and slide buckles to close it. The strap is 3/8 inch nylon webbing with pleather on either end to hook on the pegs and a slide buckle closure in back. Those buttons/badges on it are made of sculpey. (The coins, by the way, are more of the same things I used fro the buttons. I made them months ago for a doll meet and decided they'd make good badges as well as money. The paper bills are printed from a site online, folded and glued.)

Now, on to that body blushing! He's got full body work, including tattoos and pubic hair. ...What? XD I really wanted to give him a treasure trail and figured I'd do the rest while I was at it. It looks good with the low cut blue jeans. :D

You may not be able to tell there, but he does have pencil work as well as the pastel down there.

I've spent a lot of time on this boy in the last few days, and he is totally worth it. I really do adore him.

Oh, and one more thing: I just put up a gallery post for him. Please tell me it wasn't a complete waste of time?
